Interrogation Rules

1.1 Only members of FIB’s CID and LSPD’s DB divisions may conduct interrogations. All interrogations must be recorded with the use of the scripted bodycam and the POV kept for at least 72 hours. | Warn

1.2 Interrogation is only allowed if the detainee is suspected of:
  • Kidnapping/Hostage Taking
  • Trespassing in FZ
  • Attacking the Supply Run
  • Possession of state-issued armament
  • Mass shootouts between large groups of people | Warn

1.3 Before the interrogation, the suspect must have the Miranda Warning read to him. | Warn

1.4 During the interrogation, it is only allowed to ask questions about events you are aware of. If the suspect reveals additional information during the interrogation (for example that they are part of a gang), it is allowed to ask them questions based on that information.
Example: “Why were you trespassing in FZ?”, “Where did you get the weapons we found on you?”; If they admitted to being part of a gang, you may ask “What gang are you part of?”, “Where is your gang residing?”, etc.

1.5 Once enough information has been received, it has to be confirmed by using a polygraph. You must roleplay setting up the polygraph and connecting it to the suspect.

1.6 It is only allowed to ask “Yes”/”No” questions. No more than 3 questions are allowed. To confirm the suspect’s answer, you must use “/do” | Warn
Examples of questions:
Q1: /do Was everything @playerID said the truth? | /do Yes./No.
Q2: /do Is @playerID member of East Side Ballas? | /do Yes./No.
Q3: “Where is your gang located?” | “On Grove St.”

/do Is @playerID ‘s gang located on Grove St? | /do Yes./No.

1.7 When the interrogation is complete, the interrogator must state their name or callsign and the time of the end of interrogation for the bodycam.

1.8 If the suspect requested a lawyer before or during the interrogation, the lawyer shall be called by the officers/agents after the interrogation is over. | Warn

The time limit for an interrogation is 20 minutes. If the suspect refuses to answer any questions or clearly lies, the interrogation should be terminated and an arrest can be performed following all necessary procedures. | Warn
